Alchemy is all about transmutation. Taking something ordinary, and creating something special into gold.
This can be metaphorical or quite literal. What better analogy could you think of in relation the changing leaves in autumn?
The “ordinary” green colour of fresh leaves slowly change into an assortment of deep golden umber hues. Tonight’s meditation is just that: the ever presence of change in our lives. We are all undergoing the process of alchemy, and during the season of autumn there is no exemption. We are quite literally surrounded by an ongoing alchemical process of a golden sun. Every cell, every animal, every root system undergoes a transition from warm humid heat, to slow dampening coolness as autumn’s tide descends. Can you smell the leaves? The spice, the musk, the earth? Can you hear that? The crunching of my bare feet on the forest floor…
Feel the alchemy of autumn.
Good night, sweet dreams.
