This is not talking about paella, trumpets, and New Orleans cuisine. Although, if it truly does feed your soul as a chef or musician, I stand corrected. *Wink
Today marks the first day of Lughnasadh or Lammastide.
It is the first year’s harvest.
It is a harvest of music, poetry, art in all its shapes and forms, garden vegetables and flowers, and especially coming together as a community to festivals and fairs where the scent of fresh harvested grains are baked into breads.
So today, we ask ourselves, what feeds our souls? What nourishes us mind, body, and soul?
For me, what nourishes my soul, is the call I have received to “open my heart to Spirit, and thus to my community.”
By opening my arms to the needs of others, I can go to sleep at night knowing I am making a difference, that my life does share meaning with others. This is my authentic Self. This is what nourishes my Soul.
What feeds your spirit?
