Rest and recreation are a very important balance to your overall health.
To live holistically in that respect, one need to not abuse either end of the spectrum. One needs to not be too sedentary, nor too busy because either extreme can cause ill health.
You just have to listen to your body, when it is tired, rest. When it is time for fun, have fun. Be diligent in your work, and express your spirit.
Mindfulness is called for.
If you are abusing rest, and “hovering on the edge of grief,” mindfulness will be able to get you out of your funk.
If you are abusing recreation, and not fulfilling your duties/responsibilities, mindfulness will be able to give you focus and slow you down.
Life is about balance, we all need to remember from time to time to respect it.
